Whats next?

Beste Dutch Kiss Army,

Een vraagje. Ik ben op dit moment op theatertournee met Rowwen Heze.
De opzet is die van een bar: de band is de barband, ik ben de kastelein.
Ik vertel verhalen tussen de nummers door, praat met mensen in het
publiek, en ik nodig gasten aan de bar uit.

Ter introductie van het nummer Ijzeren Thijs, over een hardrocker die niet
van Rowwen Heze houdt maar wel van Judas Priest, praat ik iedere show met
iemand uit de plaats waar we spelen die van metal of hardrock houdt. Het
heeft al geweldige momenten opgeleverd.

Na afloop van het gesprek zet de band meteen Ijzeren Thijs in, met een
geimproviseerde tekst over de gast, die dan nog aan de bar samen met mij
naar het nummer luistert, en daarna het podium weer verlaat.

We spelen de komende weken in Zutphen, Venray, Oss, Wageningen, Eindhoven,
Deventer, Roosendaal, Nijmegen, Zwolle, Sittard, Zaandam, Maastricht,
Drachten, Uden, Doetinchem, Veldhoven, R’dam, Breda,, Gouda, Dordrecht,
Kerkrade, Roermond, Den Bosch, Etten-Leur en Emmen.

In al die plaatsen wonen natuurlijk ook Kissfans, die ik de afgelopen
jaren heb leren kennen als de meest enthousiaste ambassadeurs van
(hard)rock. Mochten jullie bij sommige van die plaatsen nu denken ‘Daar
moet je zeker die of die Kissfan als gast hebben!’, dan hoor ik het heel
graag.
Uiteraard krijgt onze gast altijd twee backstageplekken, de hele avond
bier, etc.
